Command-D on iPhone

Two minutes, once. Open this page in Safari on your iPhone.

1 · Install: your list on the Home Screen

Opens like an app: your list, search, and the Videos queue.

  1. 1Tap ••• in Safari's bar, then Share. On older iPhones, tap the Share button directly.
  2. 2Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Home Screen opens an empty list? iPhone keeps it apart from Safari. In Safari, open your list, tap Devices & links → Show code & QR, and enter that code in the Home Screen app.

2 · Share → Command-D from any app

iPhone only lets real App Store apps into the share sheet, so saving goes through a Shortcut. After this, in Safari, YouTube, X or anywhere: Share → Command-D.

Get the key that connects the Shortcut to your list:

Open the Shortcuts app, tap +, and name the shortcut Command-D. Tap ⓘ and turn on Show in Share Sheet.

Add the action Get Contents of URL. Set the URL to https://cmd-d.com/api/items, then tap the arrow to show more:

  • Method: POST
  • Headers: add Authorization with the text Bearer followed by your key
  • Request Body: JSON. Add a Text field content set to Shortcut Input, and a Text field source set to ios

Add the action Show Notification with the text Stored ✓. Done.

Try it: in Safari, tap Share → Command-D. Not in the list? Scroll the app row to the end → Edit Actions and add it to your favourites. It saves links and text.
